Does anyone know what specific days the band NEVER played in 30 years? For instance I bet there are no Jan 1 days but you never know. I know there's a Jan 2 72 show. What's the easiest way to find out? Then it'd be interesting to put Jerry solo days with that to see how many if any days Jerry never ended up playing on. I bet there won't be many.

I just thought it'd be interesting. I didn't want to sit there all day plugging in dates. You apparently have a lot more time on your hands so I assumed you'd do it for me : )

never on Jan 9th.

or Dec 25

and it's quite possible that those are the only four days ...

I believe they did play January 1st 1967 at the request of the Hells Angels in the Panhandle. Big Brother & The Holding Company, another favorite of the Hells Angels, also played.

Of course many a New Years show also technically started on January 1st as well....

According to setlists.net, they played on January 1st of both '66 and '67 but no setlists are available for either of the dates. Not that they had many opportunities, but they never played on February 29th (which, to me, seems like something they would've jumped at doing). There is another date that the Dead never played because I remember somebody posting something about it on that day, but somebody also mentioned a JGB show from that day if memory serves correctly.

The Grateful Dead never plyed on August 9th, and Jerry played only 4 shows on this date. Jerry Garcia Band at the Warfield 1990, at The Stone 1985, at Keystone 1980, and Jerry Garcia & Merl Saunders at the Keystone 1974.
